Young Artists. Good Cause. First Friday.
April 7, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We’ve got the cure for your Springtime in the Rockies blues. It’s a very special edition First Friday at Salto. This month we’ll be hosting the art of three of Nederland’s future art pros! Friday’s event will also be a fundraiser for the Nederland Food Pantry! Come see some young artist at work and support a great cause!
A bit about the artists…
Ande Pearl Hammers
Nederland-native Ande Pearl Hammers, 12, has always been into art – finger paints, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and oils. She dabbles in mixed-media, photography, piano, and bluegrass fiddle as well. Ande has been featured in the Boulder Valley Schools district-wide art show, and her award-winning artwork can be seen on Nederland’s own library cards.
Megan Hess is a 12 year old who attends Nederland Middle School High School as a 6th grader. Megan enjoys many forms of art including watercolors, charcoals, origami, painting, and creating art in and from nature. When she isn’t creating art, Megan can be found reading in her hammock or in front of the fire. In the future, Megan hopes to become an animal rescuer saving animals and traveling around the world.
Twelve year old Violet Rainwater has been drawing and painting since she was two. Forever drawing creative inspiration from her mother, a fellow artist and graphic designer, Violet loves painting, drawing, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, mountain biking, dance, the technical part of musicals, kittens (an obsession), animals, nature, and anything creative. Her favorite things to paint are nature and animals.
