First Friday w/ Virginia Unseld and Brandon Harris
October 4 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Every first Friday of the month we celebrate art and music with the community. The artist is onsite with her freshly displayed works (5-9pm), and music keeps the energy level high (6-8pm).
About the Artist:
Virginia Unseld has been painting the western landscape for 40 years. Her work is about the act of joyous mark-making as much as about the subject she is painting. Virginia is primarily a plein air painter. Her studio and home are in Gilpin County, and she has won various awards for her works throughout Colorado. Virginia enjoys reaching art and being an active member of the Pastel Society of Colorado, Colorado Watercolor Society, Women Artists of the West, and the Plein Air Painters of Colorado.
About the Musician:
Brandon Harris is a multi-instrumentalist trained in jazz guitar at Berklee college of music. He also plays saxophone, bass guitar, keyboard, percussion, vocals, and has performed and recorded with Grammy nominated artists. Those who tune into the world of Brandon Harris will be served a variety of musical flavors your soul’s palette is sure to appreciate. Also an instructor, Brandon plays around Denver in a trio called Meat And Potatoes.
